Grigsby, Black Garner Conference All-Academic Honors

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - Washington State University junior men's golfer Nicholas Grigsby and senior women's golfer Jessica Black were each named to the Pacific-10 Conference Men's and Women's Golf All-Academic teams, respectively, Commissioner Tom Hansen announced recently.
Grigsby, who boasts a 3.55 grade-point average in management and operations, was named first-team all-academic, while Black, who owns a 3.33 grade-point average in sport management, was named second-team all-academic.
This past season Grigsby, a native of Spokane Valley, Wash., posted a scoring average of 74.8 in eight tournaments. He recorded one top 10 finish and two top 25 finishes, bringing his career total to three and 10, respectively.
Black, from Bend, Ore., posted a scoring average of 76.6 in 11 2008-09 tournaments, recording one top 10 and seven top 25 finishes. She finished her WSU career with 20 top 25 finishes, ranking tied for sixth on the school's all-time list. Her five career top 10 finishes rank tied for 10th on WSU's all-time list, and her 77.8 career scoring average is fourth-best all-time at WSU.
