Dexter Davis, Thomas Weber Named To Phil Steele's Preseason All-American Teams

Twelve Arizona State University football players were named to Preseason All-Pac-10 Teams and two were named Preseason All-Americans in Phil Steele's 2009 College Football Preview magazine. The magazine will be available on newsstands by June 9.

Junior kicker Thomas Weber was named a Preseason Second-Team All-American, and senior defensive end Dexter Davis was a Fourth-Team All-American.

Davis, senior wide receiver Chris McGaha and senior linebacker Mike Nixon were all named Preseason First-Team All-Pac-10.

Weber, senior offensive lineman Shawn Lauvao and sophomore defensive tackle Lawrence Guy were named to the Second Team, while senior wide receiver Kyle Williams (as a punt returner) and junior offensive lineman Jon Hargis were on the Third Team. Rounding out the list was senior linebacker Travis Goethel, junior cornerback Omar Bolden, sophomore offensive lineman Garth Gerhart and true freshman linebacker Vontaze Burfict were selected to the Fourth Team.
