DiSalvatore and Schroeder Invited to USA Softball Women's National Team Selection Camp

Sophomores GiOnna DiSalvatore and Katie Schroeder have accepted invitations to the 2009 USA Softball Women's National Team Selection Camp, as announced by The Amateur Softball Association of America (ASA).

Joining DiSalvatore and Schroeder at the camp are senior Amanda Kamekona, junior Megan Langenfeld and former Bruins and current USA Softball National Team members Andrea Duran and Natasha Watley. Six of the 41 attendees at the camp are current or former Bruins.

The Selection Camp will take place in Chula Vista, Calif. from June 8-12. On the schedule for the USA Softball Women's National team program are several International events including the World Cup of Softball presented by KFC in Oklahoma City, Okla. July 16-20. The World Cup will feature the top four finishers from the 2008 Olympic Games including a Gold medal game rematch between Japan and the United States.
