Arizona State's Kennegard Named Pac-10 Golfer of the Month

WALNUT CREEK, Calif.--Jesper Kennegard of Arizona State has been named Pacific-10 Conference Golfer of the Month for May 2009.
Kennegard, a sophomore from Klippan, Sweden, won the NCAA West Regional with a 12-under par 204 and followed it up with a ninth-place finish at the NCAA Championships. He was one of only two Pac-10 golfers to post top 10 finishes in both the NCAA Regionals and Championships.
Also nominated for player of the month honors were Nick Taylor of Washington, the other Pac-10 golfer to post top 10 finishes in both the NCAA Regionals and Championships, Tarquin MacManus, who posted his first collegiate victory at the NCAA Southeast Regional, Tom Glissmeyer of USC, who posted the best finish by a Pac-10 golfer at the NCAA Championships with a third-place finish, and Dodge Kemmer of Stanford.
