Michael Brady Drafted in the 24th Round by the Florida Marlins

BERKELEY, CALIF. - University of California senior third baseman/shortstop Michael Brady was selected in the 24th round by the Florida Marlins during the second day of the 2009 Major League Amateur Draft. Brady joins three other Golden Bears - junior center fielder Brett Jackson, who was selected in the first round by the Chicago Cubs; junior second baseman Jeff Kobernus, who was a second round pick of the Washington Nationals and junior right-hander/designated hitter/outfielder Blake Smith, who was a second round pick of the Los Angeles Dodgers - as Cal's 2009 MLB draftees.
