Women's Basketball Holds Annual Camps

CORVALLIS, Ore. - This past week, the Oregon State women's basketball team held its annual set of camps.

The Beavers began the week with a two-day individual camp then ended it with a three-team day team camp that ended on Sunday. Five current players stayed in Corvallis to work the camp; they were Stacey Nichols, Julie Futch, Anita Burdick, Talisa Rhea and Brittany Kennedy.

The individual camp focused on skill instruction with 5-on-5 games included. Awards handed out at the end include the 1-on-1 champion, 3-on-3 champions, free throw champion, shooting champion, Gatorade 'Will To Win' award, most outstanding player and the OSU Heart And Hustle Award.

On Friday, the team camp commenced with teams from Oregon, Washington and California attending. The teams were broken down into two divisions with pool play taking place the first two days. A single-elimination tournament took place Sunday. Each division saw the following awards given: team camp champions, runners-up, an all-tournament team, most outstanding player and the team spirit award.
