Three Additional Telecasts Announced For 2009 Cal Football

BERKELEY - At least three additional California football games for the 2009 season will be telecast with live broadcasts now officially scheduled for contests against Eastern Washington, Minnesota and Washington.
Comcast SportsNet California will air the Sept. 12 Eastern Washington game, with kickoff slated for 2:30 p.m. In addition, CSN California will show the season finale at Washington Dec. 5, beginning at 3:30 p.m.
Cal's road contest at Minnesota Sept. 19 will be broadcast on either ESPN or ESPN2; becoming the fourth nationally-televised Golden Bear game of the campaign. The ESPN/ESPN2 determination will be made six days in advance of the contest that will begin at 11 a.m. CT (9 a.m. PT).
Other previously announced 2009 Cal football telecasts are against Maryland (Sept. 5, 7 p.m. PT - ESPN2), at Oregon (Saturday, Oct. 26, 12:30 p.m. PT - ABC) and versus USC (Saturday, Oct. 3, 5 p.m. PT - ABC).
Game times and television information for the six other 2009 Cal games will be announced during the season, either six or 12 days in advance of each contest. Options for those games include ABC, ESPN, ESPN2, FSN and Versus.
Over the past two seasons, every Golden Bear football game has been televised live, and a total of 73 contests have been on TV during Jeff Tedford's first seven seasons as head coach.
