Registration for Fifth Annual Winning Edge Coaches Clinic Available

Corvallis, Ore. – Registration is open for the Fifth Annual Winning Edge Coaches Clinic, hosted by the Oregon State volleyball staff on July 24-25.
Coaches have an opportunity to hear high school coaches Jiam Iams (Punahou High School; Honolulu, Hawai’i), Carl Neuburger (West Linn High School; West Linn, Ore.) and Kim McLain (Santiam Christian; Corvallis, Ore.) discuss unique challenges and opportunities they encounter on Friday, July 24.
And on Saturday, July 25, the panel will consist of the Oregon State volleyball staff as it discusses different topics from coaching methodology, how to structure practices and much more. The Beaver volleyball team will take part in a drill demonstration in a practice setting as well.
The cost for both days is $150, while each individual session is $100. Current OACA members will receive a $10 discount by showing their membership cards at the door.
Also, limited spots remain for the 2009 overnight and commuter camps that run from July 18-23.
The hallmark camp of Oregon State volleyball, the Overnight All-Skills Camp features the six-skill instruction of the commuter camp, extended over four days. Campers increase not only their skills and knowledge of the game but also experience staying on the beautiful Oregon State campus. One camp's session will feature a special 'Question & Answer' session on college volleyball. Check in is at 5:30 p.m. on July 18. Check-Out will be at 12:00 p.m. on July 21. The cost for the four-day camp is $390.
The Commuter All-Skills Camp provides instruction on all aspects of the game. Sessions will focus on the six volleyball skills: serving, passing, hitting, setting, blocking and defense. Campers will increase their overall knowledge of the game and develop and refine their volleyball skills during their stay. Check in is 7:30 a.m. and check out is 8:00 p.m. on July 22. Check in is 7:30 a.m. and check out is 4:45 p.m. on July 23. The two-day camp costs $160.
