Husky Soccer Tickets, Olympic Sports Passes On Sale Now

SEATTLE - The University of Washington announced today tickets for the 2009 Husky men's and women's soccer home games will go on sale today, Wednesday, July 1.

Single-game tickets can be purchased online at www.gohuskies.com, by phone at (206) 543-2200 (M - F, 8:30 - 4:30), or in-person at the Husky Ticket Office located on campus at 101 Graves Building (M - F, 8:30 - 5:00). Adult tickets are $6 while children and senior citizens get a discounted rate of $4. Family plans are also available for $15.

For season tickets, fans can purchase an Olympic Sports pass, which is good for general admission seating to all regular season games for men's and women's soccer, volleyball, gymnastics, softball and baseball as well as non-conference women's basketball games. Olympic Sports passes also go on sale July 1 as well. The cost is $40 for adults, $30 for children and senior citizens and $85 for a family pass.

The Husky men's soccer team begins their 2009 campaign Aug. 19 with an exhibition at home against the Seattle Wolves. Entrance to the game is free of charge as is entrance to their second exhibition on August 25 against Trinity Western. The first regular season home games at Husky Soccer Field take place Sept. 17 when the Huskies host Portland at 7 p.m.

The rest of the home schedule features the annual Husky Fever Classic, Sept. 25 and 27, featuring Cal Poly, Creighton and Portland, along with conference games against San Diego State (Oct. 2), UCLA (Oct. 4), California (Oct. 30), Stanford (Nov. 1) and Oregon State (Nov. 13).

The Husky women, coming off an appearance in the NCAA Second Round, begin their 2009 home schedule with a pair of non-conference games against Seattle on Aug. 26 and Portland on Aug. 30. The Huskies will then host the Husky Nike Invitational on Sept. 4 and 6, which features Colorado College, Columbia and Portland before they wrap up the non-conference slate with games at home against Utah State (Sept. 18), Gonzaga (Oct. 2) and Montana (Oct. 4). The Huskies will stay home for the majority of their conference games, hosting Washington State (Oct. 9), California (Oct. 23), Stanford (Oct. 25), UCLA (Nov. 6) and USC (Nov. 8).
