Ohai and Olsen Called To USA's U-23 Trip
July 1, 2009
USC midfielder Megan Ohai and goalkeeper Kristin Olsen have been called in to join the U.S. Under-23 National Team for competition in England. While Olsen has been on the U.S. roster for other international play with the U-23 team this year, this will be Ohai's first action with the U-23s.
Both Women of Troy were members of USC's first-ever NCAA Championship team, and both received regional and All-Pac-10 honors during that 2007 season. Olsen is heading into her senior season with the Trojans, and Ohai is set for her junior season at Troy. With 20 career shutouts, Olsen is six away from taking over as USC's all-time shutouts leader, and she already holds the high mark for single-season shutouts with 12 tallied in 2007. Ohai has scored 11 goals in her first two seasons at USC, and holds the program's eighth-best count of five game-winning goals so far.
The U.S. Under-23 squad will be competing in two games while in England from July 1-10. For more information, visit www.ussoccer.com.
