O'Hara, Press, Train With U.S. U-23 Team

July 1, 2009

STANFORD, Calif. - Stanford forwards Kelley O'Hara and Christen Press were among 24 players called into the United States under-23 women's national soccer team camp in Cleveland in mid-June.

The players, who combined for 39 goals and 33 assists for the Cardinal last season, were among seven college-aged forwards in camp June 13-19 at the Premier Soccer Academies.Though neither was on the final roster of 18 that headed to England for a pair of international friendlies, the experience added to the national-team backgrounds of both players.

Press had been part of the U-20 national-team pool and O'Hara, besides international play at several age levels, has also trained with the full national team.

O'Hara will be a senior this fall and Press a junior.
