Devery Kerz to Represent US at U23 Rowing World Championships

WEST WINDSOR, N.J. - Devery Karz, a junior on the Oregon State women's rowing squad, will represent the United States at the U23 Rowing World Championships as a member of the U23 lightweight team in the quadruple squads after her performance at the 2009 Under 23 World Championships Trials on Mercer Lake on Thursday.

Karz teamed with GMS Rowing Center's Victoria Burke, Katherine Robinson and Summers Nelson on the lightweight women's quadruple sculls team and clocked a 7:23.535 in the final to earn a spot on the national team.

Fifteen crews earned U23 US National Team berths at the trials and will represent the United States at the FISA World Rowing U23 Championships, July 23-26, in Racice, Czech Republic.
