UCLA Announces 2010 Gymnastics Schedule

Defending Pac-10 Champion UCLA will host five regular season meets along with the NCAA West Regionals in 2010. The season kicks off on Saturday, Jan. 9 with a home meet against nine-time NCAA champion Utah.

The Bruins also host Pac-10 dual meets against Arizona State (Jan. 31), Stanford (Feb. 14) and Oregon State (Feb. 21), and a three-team meet with Michigan State and Cal State Fullerton (Mar. 14).

UCLA will also host the NCAA West Regionals in Pauleye Pavilion for the first time since 2001 on Apr. 10. The top two teams from the Regional will advance to the NCAA Championships, which will take place in Gainesville, Fla. on Apr. 22-24.

Also on tap for the Bruins is a highly-anticipated dual meet with five-time defending NCAA champion Georgia in Athens, Ga. the weekend of Mar. 5.

UCLA returns five All-Americans from last year's squad, including 2009 NCAA all-around bronze medalist Vanessa Zamarripa and 2009 Pac-10 Freshman of the Year Elyse Hopfner-Hibbs, along with upperclassmen Anna Li, Brittani McCullough and Niki Tom.
