Taylor Shoots 73, But Misses Cut At Canadian Open

OAKVILLE, Ontario - University of Washington golfer Nick Taylor shaved six strokes off of his first round scoring, carding a one-over 73 in the second round of the RBC Canadian Open, but did not make the cut for the third round.
Due to rain on both Thursday and Friday, Taylor didn't even start his second round until Saturday morning. He posted four birdies and five bogeys for his 73, and finishd the two rounds eight-over par with a score of 152, having carded a 79 in his first round.
The cut was set at three-under par. Both the third and fourth rounds of the tournament are slated to be played on Sunday. Jason Dufner, at 13-under, leads the field.
Taylor, a senior-to-be from Abbotsford, B.C., was participating in his third national championship of the summer, having finished as low amateur at the U.S. Open and as the runner-up at the U.S. Amateur Public Links Championship.
