Cal Volleyball Announces Ticket Promotions and On-Sale Date

BERKELEY - Tickets for the 2009 California volleyball home schedule go on sale to the general public on Wednesday, Aug. 5. The Golden Bears will play 13 matches at Haas Pavilion this fall; many of which will feature special student and fan promotions. Students will receive giveaways as Cal's schedule opens with the Molten/Hilton Garden Inn Classic on Friday, Sept. 11, when the Bears host Eastern Washington at 7 p.m.
Throughout the season, the Bears will be signing autographs on-court after every home match. Special group rates and discounts are also available for birthday parties and large groups. Sign up today and secure your chance to be an assistant coach for a day, put up the first serve or be the Bears' junior announcer for a match. On Sept. 12, the Bears take on San Jose State in a 6 p.m. match immediately following the Cal-Eastern Washington football game. Football ticket holders will receive free admission to the volleyball match.
Friday, Sept. 18, is Faculty and Staff Day as Cal faces Saint Mary's in the Pac-10/WCC Challenge. All faculty and staff will get four free admissions with a staff ID card and also receive a 20% discount at the Cal Bears Shop.
Cal opens the Pac-10 schedule at home as it hosts rival Stanford in the Big Spike on Friday, Sept. 26. Help your Bears break the single-match attendance record as a part of Pack the Pavilion night.
Bring all of your friends with you on Friday, Oct. 9, when Cal takes on Washington and see if you can win the Largest Group Lotto. The largest group present at that match will be invited back to a later match where they will get to sit in on an exclusive pre-game chalk talk.
The Bears play host to Washington State on Saturday, Oct. 10, as they invite all youth 12th-grade and under to attend for free as a part of Youth Day.
Friday, Oct. 23, is your chance to attend a Cal volleyball match and give back as the Bears take the court against Arizona to Dig for a Cure. A donation will be taken to benefit breast cancer research and treatment for the Alta Bates Carol Ann Reed Breast Health center.
Hang on to your stubs for Sunday, Oct. 25. Fans with tickets from the Cal-Washington State football game will receive free admission as the Bears take on Arizona State at 1 p.m. Get dressed up on Saturday, Oct. 31, as Cal clashes with USC. Win the Cal Costume Contest on Halloween night and take home a special prize.
Come celebrate your Golden Bear seniors on Sunday, Nov. 15, when Cal faces Oregon in a 1 p.m. afternoon matinee. Admission to this special Senior Day match is free with a ticket stub from the Cal-Arizona football game. This match is also a double-header with a Cal women's basketball game.
