Eddie Makes A House Call
Aug. 3, 2009
Sun Devil great Eddie House and his eight-year-old son Jaelen will be the first father-son duo to appear on the newly created Cartoon Network short-form series, My Dad's A Pro, the Cartoon Network and the NBA announced in March.
And as part of that series, the pair visited with Coach Sendek Friday (July 31) and filmed a segment as Coach Sendek put Jaelen through a work-out.
House, a member of the 2008 NBA World Champion Boston Celtics, said he is glad that they Sun Devils are back, but was quick to remind Coach Sendek he averaged 31.5 points against NC State in ASU's two games in 2000 against Coach Sendek's squad.
'But it was a soft 31,' noted House with a laugh, as NC State won both games.
My Dad's A Pro is the first series of the recently announced multifaceted partnership between Cartoon Network and the NBA, in which the two entities will be developing long- and short-form basketball-themed content across a wide variety of platforms, including online, mobile, video on demand and on-air.
'My Dad's A Pro is a first of its kind. Cartoon Network viewers will get to see what life is like for the best basketball players in the world through the unique perspective of their own kids,' said Adam Silver, NBA deputy commissioner and COO. 'We are thrilled to have Eddie and his son Jaelen as the first featured duo in the series.'
