LONDON, England-- Stanford sophomore-to-be Michael Zoldos took home two Gold medals and a bronze, while incoming recruit Matthew Swanston received four medals at a mini two-day meet between Canada, Great Britain and Russia over the weekend.

Zoldos won the 400-meter freestyle with a time of 3:51.22, the same event the Cardinal swimmer won silver in, at the Canadian World Championship Trials in July. Zoldos also finished third in the 1500-meter freestyle with a time of 15:23.77 and was the anchor leg on the Canadian's 4x200-meter relay team, swimming 1:50.50 for an overall time of 7:20.02.

For Swanston, who is a part of the nation's top recruiting class, finished second in the 200-meter backstroke with a time of 1:29.16 and was third in the 100-meter backstroke (55.69) and Canadian “B” relay teams in the 4x200-meter relay (7:32.32) and the 400 medley relay (3:43.18), where he swam the backstroke.

The duo, along with fellow Canadian and Cardinal Paul Kornfeld, will head to the British Short Course Grand Prix from August 6-9 in Leeds, England for a three-day event.
