Bollier Second in 'B' Final of 400 IM at U.S. Open

FEDERAL WAY, WA-- Stanford's Bobby Bollier, a Silver Medalist yesterday in the 200 butterfly, finished second in the “B” Finals of the 400 individual medley on a relatively quiet day at the U.S. Open Swim Championships.

Bollier broke his personal-best by two seconds, swimming 4:19.53 in the Finals, after the 11th-best preliminary time at 4:22.46. Bollier's previous best was 4:21.82.

The U.S. Open continues through Saturday, while three Cardinal men, Matthew Swanston, Michael Zoldos and Paul Kornfeld, are expected to swim in the Short Course Grand Prix in Leeds, England from August 6 to 9.
