Incoming freshman Arla Rosenzweig cometes at 18th Maccabiah Games in Israel

California Golden Bear incoming freshman Arla Rosenzweig traveled to Israel to compete for the United States team at the 18th Maccabiah Games. Rozenweig competed in the all-around, making the finals for the bars and floor exercise, scoring an 11.675 on the floor and a 9.475 on the bars. In the all-around competition, Rosenzweig posted a 12.45 on the floor, 13.15 for her vault, 12.0 on the beam and a 9.8 on the uneven bars. The United States team earned a silver medal as a team, coming in second behind host nation Israel.
The Maccabiah Games are held every four years in Israel attracting the most outstanding Jewish athletes from around the world, this year taking place from July 12-23 in and around Tel Aviv. As one of the largest elite competitions, the Maccabiah grew to over 7000 athletes from over 50 countries making it the third largest sports event in the world.
