Blainville, Que. -- Two Washington Husky golfers -- Nick Taylor and Darren Wallace -- had top 10 finishes at the 2009 Canadian Men's Amateur Championship on Thursday, but it was a fellow countryman that stole the show at Club de golf Le Blainvillier.

Taylor was 5-under par, 283 overall to finish in a three-way tie for third, while Wallace was 3-under 285 to take ninth place. Both Taylor (Abbotsford, B.C.) and Wallace (Langley, B.C.) shot 1-over 73 in Thursday's final round.

Cam Burke won the tournament for a second-consecutive year after shooting a 13-under 275. He finished one stroke better than Mitch Sutton, who nearly made up a five-stroke deficit with five holes left.

Rain plagued the tournament throughout and forced most competitors to finish their third rounds today. Taylor, the world's No. 1 ranked amateur, finished his third round with a 2-under and Wallace shot a 1-under 71.
