Dumais Sixth in 3-Meter Springboard at Nationals

TALLAHASSEE, Fla.-- Stanford senior Dwight Dumais finished in sixth place in his second final of the AT&T USA Senior Diving Championships, scoring 424.95 points in the 3-meter springboard final.

Dumais tallied a high of 84.00 points with his reverse 2 1/2, followed by a 1 1/2 twist, where he produced four 8.0's from the judges. On his final two dives, an inward 2 1/2 pike and a forward 2 1/2 with two twists, he tallied scores of 75.00 and 76.50. On the inward 2 1/2 pike, he scored at least 8.5's from five of the seven judges.

Dumais, who finished fifth in the 1-meter competition on Thursday, was sixth to his brother Troy, who won the event with 511.80 points.
