Arizona Soccer gearing up for the 2009 season

Season and individual game tickets for Arizona Soccer's upcoming 2009 slate of home matches are currently on sale. Fans can purchase their tickets online at arizonawildcats.com, over the phone by calling (520) 621-CATS (2287), or by stopping by the McKale Ticket Office.
Season tickets are $45 for the general public, $15 for youths (18 and under). Individual games tickets are $6 for the general public and $3 for youth. Seniors (55+), active military, and UA faculty & staff can purchase season tickets for $39. Individual game tickets are $6 for active military and UA faculty & staff, and $4 for seniors. All home soccer matches are included on the UA student 'Zona Zoo Sports Pass, or students can purchase an individual game ticket for $4.
The Arizona Women's Soccer team enters the 2009 season ready to take on the competition and pull ahead as a powerhouse in the Pac 10 Conference. The Wildcats are looking to continue to build upon their strong finishes last year and explosive team performances.
With powerful starting line-up, the Wildcats' on field presence gets even more strength with the addition of highly accomplished incoming players. The team is excited for the incoming freshmen, whose class is stacked with skill, ambition, and the necessary Wildcat dedication to the success, as well as the returning starters who led Arizona to victory throughout the 2008 season. The talent from the veteran seniors mixed with the energy of the freshmen will make for an exhilarating, winning season.
UA will open its 2009 season at home against UC Irvine on August 23, and will feature a total of 11 matches at Murphey Field at Mulcahy Stadium, located on 15th St. and Plumer. Including UC Irvine, UA's non-conference schedule includes San Diego, Brown, Rutgers, BYU, and Loyola Marymount. UA fills out the rest of the season with Pac-10 conference matches, hosting Washington, Washington State, ASU, Oregon, and Oregon State in Tucson.
