Hey Wildcat fans! Well another week has come and gone, and we are still grinding our way towards the end of Double Days and the start of school. We are all really starting to feel the end of summer approaching, but we are still enjoying our time together!
On Tuesday of this week we went to a team building exercise at Rocks and Ropes. It was an awesome experience. Everyone got to rock climb three times. Watching everyone learn the basics was really funny, and then watching everyone climb was even better! The second time everyone had to climb blindfolded towards the goals we had posted at the top of the wall. That’s right!! COMPLETELY BLIND!! The only way for everyone to get up was to have direction from teammates! Talk about trusting each other completely! The last climb was a team race against time to get to the top and sign a ball with our team pillars for success. We didn’t beat the time, but everyone got to write their pillar on the ball and we all got another chance to really bond as a team!
Tomorrow we have our annual team meeting prior to the official end of Double Days. This is the meeting where we do a lot of traditions that are special to our Program as a whole, mainly geared at us cracking jokes about, sacrificing for, and supporting each other and becoming closer as a program. I wish I could give you some specifics, but they are our team traditions, kept between us as a family.
Now all this team bonding comes at a perfect time. Not only are practices getting more and more difficult the more tired we get. We also have the Red/Blue Scrimmage this Saturday, our last real chance to play in teams before we start season. It should be really fun! And we have these GREAT new uniforms that we can’t wait to wear! You know what they say… If you look good and feel good, you play good! HAHA
We will definitely be feeling and looking good, so we hope to see you there so we can show off all the skills we have been working on! Well, it is getting late, and we have practice tomorrow! I will talk to you all again soon! With that, this is #34, signing off!
