Cats Get Back to Work
Aug. 25, 2009
TUCSON, Ariz. – The Arizona football team returned to the practice field on Tuesday after two off days following the annual Meet the Team night scrimmage last Saturday in Arizona Stadium.
Fall classes began on Monday for UA students and with Tuesday evening’s practice, the Wildcats officially opened their regular season practice schedule which marks closed practices as the team begins game-specific preparation for its opponents.
The season opener against Central Michigan is just over 10 days away, and players and coaches are gearing up for the game. Head coach Mike Stoops addressed the media on Monday to summarize the team’s Fall Camp and he’ll hold his first weekly news conference of the season next Monday as the focus completely shifts to the Chippewas, who have appeared in three straight bowl games.
Elsewhere on campus, the lines at the McKale Ticket Office have been busy with students lining up to purchase or pick up their Zona Zoo season passes as well as their Zona Zoo t-shirts. For non-students, season, individual game and flex-pack tickets remain on sale and can be purchased online here or by calling (520) 621-CATS.
