Basketball To Have Two Games Air On FSN In 2009-10

Aug. 31, 2009

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - The Pacific-10 Conference has released its television schedule for the 2009-10 season, and the Oregon State women's basketball team is slated to play on FSN twice.

The Beavers have been selected to play on FSN on January 9 in the Civil War against Oregon. The game is scheduled for a 1 p.m. PT start at legendary Gill Coliseum in Corvallis.

The second game OSU will play on FSN comes just a week later when the Beavers visit Arizona State in Tempe on January 16. That game will be played at 5:30 p.m. PT.

The Pac-10 will have 21 games aired during the season, including 15 during the regular season. In addition to the two scheduled games, the Beavers have the ability play on FSN up to two more times during the regular season on 'wild card' selection dates. Those dates are February 20 and February 27 and each game in the Pac-10 that day has the ability to be picked up in a decision that will be made during the season.

The Pac-10 Tournament's semifinal games, on March 13, and its championship game, a day later, will also air live on FSN.

Oregon State is coming off a 20-12 season, the team's first year with 20 or more victories in more than a decade. The Beavers also made their second WNIT appearance under head coach LaVonda Wagner, who will be in her fifth year with the program in 2009-10.
