Perez Named Premier Performer Of The Week

SEATTLE - Washington senior Veronica Perez was honored today for her game-winning goal Sunday over No. 11 Illinois, being named one of CollegeSoccer360.com's Primetime Performers of the Week.
Perez scored the only goal in UW's 1-0 victory over the Illini, beating the keeper one-on-one and easily sending in the game-winner in the 83rd minute. It was her second goal of the season and her first game-winner as the Huskies improved to 4-2.
Perez was one of 17 players honored from around the nation, along with other big-name players such as No. 3 Portland's Michelle Enyeart and No. 2 Stanford's Mariah Noguiera and Kelly O'Hara. To view the complete list, click here.
The Huskies split their two games last weekend against Miami and Illinois in the Nike Portland Invitational to improve to 4-2 this season. They stay home this week to host Utah State on Friday at 7 p.m.
