Stanford Crew To Hold Informational Meetings For Walk-On Athletes

STANFORD, Calif. - The Stanford men's, women's, and lightweight crews will be holding informational meetings for all prospective walk-on rowers during the opening week of classes (Sept. 21-25). All interested students may attend the meetings, which are scheduled for Monday and Tuesday, Sept. 21 and 22, at 3 p.m. on the upstairs balcony inside Burnham Pavilion.
Are you tall, athletic, driven and competitive? Do you want the chance to compete for a national championship with a Division I varsity sports team?

Stanford is the No. 1 College Boathouse in America, and is home to the 2009 NCAA Division I Champion women's team and the 2009 national bronze-medalist men's varsity eight and lightweight women's varsity eight crews.
Every year athletes who have never rowed before join the Stanford varsity rowing team and compete for Pac-10 championships, national championships and spots on the United States National Team. Our varsity teams rely on walk-on athletes to continue competing at the highest national and international levels.

We are holding two informational meetings on Monday, September 21 and Tuesday, September 22 at 3pm. All interested rower and coxswain candidates should come to Burnham Pavilion for one of these two meetings.
'Beginning Rowing,' is a class now offered at Stanford, meeting Monday through Thursday, from noon to 1pm at the Ford Center. Sign up online!
