AVCA Sept. 21 Poll

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Following its best-ever start at 11-0 through non-conference play and coming off winning the Arizona Invitational, the Arizona volleyball is now ranked No. 19 by the AVCA.

The No. 19 billing is the highest the Wildcats have been ranked since the preseason poll to start the 2006 season when they were No. 18.

“Rankings are always nice for exposure and recruiting, but we just want to stay focused on this weekend,” said head coach Dave Rubio.

Arizona enters conference play on Friday night when it hosts No. 13 USC (11-1) at 7 p.m. in McKale Center.  The Cats will then take on No. 14 UCLA (10-3) on Saturday night at 7 p.m.
