WALNUT CREEK, Calif.-- Commissioner Larry Scott announced today that USC’s senior goalkeeper Kristin Olsen has been named Pac-10 Women’s Soccer Player of the Week for Sept. 15-21.

In the match against the Cowgirls, Olsen made two saves to help lead the Trojans to the 1-0 victory. The win for the Trojans marked the first home loss Oklahoma State has suffered in nine years.

Olsen followed with an even better performance at Oklahoma. She made six saves and anchored the team when a red card was given in the 35th minute and the Trojans were forced to play with a man down for the remainder of the match. Olsen faced 14 shots in the second half alone and made six stops down the stretch to clinch the Trojans’ second 1-0 win over the weekend.
