Men's Basketball To Host Coaches Clinic On Oct. 17

STANFORD, Calif.- The Stanford men's basketball program will kick off the 2009-10 campaign with a coaches clinic on Saturday, Oct. 17.

Led by Cardinal coaches Johnny Dawkins, Dick Davey, Rodney Tention and Mike Schrage, attendees will be able to observe individual work out sessions conducted by the assistants and watch a full team practice. Skill development will focus on point guards, wings and post players.

Keith D'Amelio, sports performance specialist for the men's basketball program, will also be on hand and provide instruction on teaching drills.

Registration is at 8 a.m. and the clinic runs from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.

Cost of the clinic is $30, which includes lunch and a Nike Dri Fit Stanford Basketball polo shirt.
