Men's Golf Travels South For Giustina Memorial Classic

What's Happening This Week: The Washington State men's golf team travels to Corvallis, Ore., next week to compete in the Giustina Memorial Classic at the par 72, 7,030-yard Trysting Tree Golf Club...the two-day tournament will begin Monday with a shotgun start at 8:45 a.m., with 36 holes of play, and will end with the final 18 holes starting tee times at 7:45 a.m., Tuesday...in addition to regular tournament scoring, OSU will pair the men's and women's teams from each participating school in a combined competition.
The Field: Teams scheduled to compete with WSU include host school Oregon State, Boise State, Cal Poly, Hawai'I, Nevada, Oregon, Portland, South Carolina-Upstate and Wyoming.
Traveling for the Cougars: Five Cougars will be traveling to take a swing at victory in Corvallis, Ore. on Monday...the Cougar men include seniors Kevin Tucker and Austin Hurt, junior Nick Ellis, sophomore Trent Sanders, and freshman Hank Frame.
Last Time Out: This same group traveled to the Falcon Invitational earlier this week where they finished in a tie for fourth...the team was guided by their senior leaders as Hurt was runner-up and Tucker finished in a tie for 20th.
Last Year at This Event: The Cougar men finished fourth in the team standings last...Sanders earned the first top-10 finish of his career finishing in a tie for fourth...Ellis and Nick Grigsby both finished in the top 25, taking 12th and 14th respectively.
