Sophia Sheridan tied for 11th after second round of CVS/pharmacy LPGA Challenge

Former California Golden Bear golfer Sophia Sheridan is tied for 11th place with a five-under par after the first two rounds of the CVS/pharmacy LPGA Challenge, being played at Blackhawk Country Club in Danville.
Sheridan opened the tournament with a first-round 67, tying her for second place after the first 18 holes. Sheridan hit an eagle three on the par-5 11th hole to put her among the tournament leaders in a field that features most of the current top-ten players in the world.
Sheridan posted an even-par 72 in the second round to remain at five under. She is one of six players tied at five-under, inmcluding Natalie Gulbis. Sophia Gustafson leads the field with a ten-under. Lorena Ochoa, the world's top-rated player, is one stroke back, tied for second at nine-under.
Sheridan easily made the Friday cut, which sits at two-over par. She will play the third round on Saturday and the final round Sunday at the par-72, 6,185 yard Lakeside Course at Blackhawk Country Club. Two hours of tape-delayed coverage will be shown on the Golf Channel each day.
