Briann January in the WNBA Finals

Six months ago today Briann January came through with one of the best all-around performances of her career in helping lead the Sun Devil women’s basketball team over third-seeded Texas A&M, giving ASU its second Elite Eight berth in three years.Tonight she will be taking the floor at US Airways Center as a member of the Indiana Fever and playing in her first ever WNBA Finals game when the Fever face the Phoenix Mercury (6 p.m. on ESPN2).

During the regular season January helped lead the Fever to the second-best overall record in the WNBA (22-12), coming within one game of tying Phoenix for the best overall record in the league.

January has averaged 9.2 points, 3.0 rebounds and 2.8 assists during Indiana’s current playoff run.

Game 2: Thursday - Indiana at Phoenix 6 p.m.
Game 3: Sunday - Phoenix at Indiana 1 p.m.
Game 4: Wednesday (10/7) - Phoenix at Indiana 4:30 p.m.*
Game 5: Friday (10/9) - Indiana at Phoenix 6 p.m.*
