TULSA, Okla. – The Arizona men’s tennis team will compete in the prestigious D’Novo / ITA All American tournament over the next two weekends at the Michael Case Tennis Center in Tulsa, Okla.

Representing the Cats will be No. 36 Jay Goldman, Andres Carrasco and Jason Zafiros.

Zafiros and Carrasco will start off play in the Pre-Qualifying bracket of the tournament while Goldman is entered in the championship draw. Pre-Qualifying begins tomorrow and goes through Sunday. Qualifying will then start on Oct. 5 and run through Oct. 7.  The Main Draw Championships will commence on Oct. 8 and go through Oct. 11.

“Our guys are excited about facing some very good opponents, said coach Tad Berkowitz. “They just want to play as much tennis as they can over the week.”

Last season, Goldman advanced into the third round by knocking off Michigan’s Jason Jung in three sets.

Along with playing singles, the Cats will have a doubles team competing in the qualifying doubles bracket.
