Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational presents next challenge to Women's Golf

The Oregon State Women’s Golf team returns to the links for the Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational hosted by the University of Washington Monday-Wednesday, Oct. 5-7.
The tournament will be played at Sahalee Country Club in Sammamish, Wash. Sahalee CC, which is rated one of the top 100 courses in America, is a par-72, 6,136-yard course. It is a 54-hole tournament consisting of three 18-hole rounds with one being played each day. Tee times begin at 9 a.m. on Monday, with second round action on Tuesday teeing off at 10:30 a.m., and the final round to start at 8 a.m., Wednesday.
“We are looking forward to a great test of our abilities this week at Sahalee Country Club,” head coach Risë Lakowske said. “This course demands a great deal of course management and exceptional decision-making. It’s the toughest venue we face all season.”
The 14-team tournament field includes BYU, California, Long Beach State, Idaho, New Mexico State, Oregon, Oregon State, Pepperdine, San Francisco, San Jose State, Stanford, Washington and Washington State.
Six Oregon State golfers will be participating this week. Five golfers will count toward the team score with one playing individually. Those playing for the team score are seniors Lauren Archer and Brittany Stewart, juniors Cara Freeman and Kristina Gargaro and sophomore Whitney French. Freshman Christy Fogerty will play as an individual.
