Kyle Nakazawa Named UCLA/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week

Senior midfielder Kyle Nakazawa (Palos Verdes Estates, CA/Edison Academic Center) of the UCLA men's soccer team was selected as the UCLA/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week for Sept. 28-Oct. 4.
Nakazawa scored three of UCLA's four goals over the weekend and assisted on the other. In the win at Oregon State, he scored the tying goal, assisted on the game-winner and then scored on a free kick to increase the lead to 3-1. In the 1-1 tie at Washington, he scored the game's first goal in the 8th minute on a 25-yard free kick. Nakazawa has scored or assisted on a goal in six straight games, totaling seven goals and three assists during the streak, and has contributed a goal or assist on nine of UCLA's last 10 goals. He leads the team in scoring with career-bests of seven goals and 17 points in just eight games. UCLA has thrived during Nakazawa's scoring streak, going 5-0-1 and moving into 2nd in the Soccer America rankings.
This is Nakazawa's second consecutive UCLA/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week honor and second of his career.
