Murakami Continues Streak As UCLA's No. 1 Runner

Junior Shannon Murakami continued her streak as UCLA's No. 1 runner on Friday as she led the Bruins to a 17th-place finish at the Notre Dame Invitational in South Bend. Murakami finished 40th overall in a time of 17:26 to lead the team.

Sophomore Katja Goldring posted her third straight meet as the No. 2 runner for the Bruins, finishing 74th in a time of 17:46. Junior Rosa Magana was the No. 3 runner for the team as she placed 106th in a time of 18:14.

Sophomore Sadee Martinez finished 127th (18:32) as the No. 4 runner, while junior Kelcie Wiemann was 151st (18:54) as the fifth scorer for the team.

The Bruins will train for the next two weeks before heading to the Cal Poly Inviational in San Luis Obispo.
