Hirshman's Qualifying Run At ITA All-American Championships Ends In Third Round

TULSA, Okla.- Junior Greg Hirshman's qualifying run at the D'Novo/ITA All-American Championships came to an end Wednesday afternoon with a 6-3, 6-2 third-round loss to No. 11 seed John Peers of Middle Tennessee State.
Hirshman defeated Mississippi State's Antonio Lastre 6-2, 4-6, 6-3 in the first round and NC State's Jaime Pulgar 6-4, 7-6 (8) in the second round to reach Wednesday's contest.
Stanford is represented in Thursday's main singles draw with junior Alex Clayton and sophomore Bradley Klahn, while Klahn and sophomore Ryan Thacher also team up in the main doubles draw. Clayton and Klahn have both earned top-15 national preseason rankings, with Clayton holding down the No. 7 spot and Klahn checking in at No. 15. The doubles team of Klahn and Thacher comes in ranked No. 8.
