2009-10 MBKB TV Schedule Announced

TUCSON, Ariz. - The debut season of new Wildcat head coach Sean Miller will be witnessed by many as every regular-season University of Arizona men's basketball game potentially could be televised live in 2009-10.
For more than 30 years Wildcat basketball has been regularly featured on television, and 2009-10 is no different as 29 regular-season games are slated for broadcast. The schedule features at least 12 national appearances with six games offered on Fox Sports Net, five on the ESPN family and one on CBS-TV. Four more games will be distributed nationally on Fox College Sports as a spin-off of Arizona's local broadcast package.
Additionally, UA's regional broadcast partners, FS Arizona and KGUN-TV and KWBA-TV, will televise 12 games to be shown in the Arizona market. Longtime Tucson sports personality Dave Sitton (play-by-play) and former Arizona basketball letterman Corey Williams (color commentary) will call the action in 2009-10. Those telecasts begin with the regular-season opener against Northern Arizona on Nov. 15.
The 2009-10 broadcast schedule tips off with a pair of exhibition games - Augustana College (Nov. 4) and Western New Mexico (Nov. 10) - that will be webcast on www.arizonawildcats.com.
The Cats open the EA Sports Maui Invitational Nov. 23 against Wisconsin, which will be carried on ESPN2. Should the Wildcats win, Arizona's second round game (Nov. 24) against either Gonzaga or Colorado will be shown on ESPN UA third-round game in Maui will be seen on the ESPN family of networks.
Arizona will make two more appearances on the ESPN family - at Oklahoma (Dec. 6) will be televised on ESPNU, while the Feb. 25 game at California will be shown on ESPN.
Arizona's first national appearance of the season on FSN will take place Dec. 23 vs. North Carolina State. FSN also will televise the Oregon games on Jan. 16 and Feb. 11, as well as three other Pacific-10 Conference games. Included in that figure are games at Washington (Feb. 4) and vs. Arizona State (Feb. 21).
UA's lone regular-season appearance on CBS-TV comes against UCLA (Jan. 2) from Pauley Pavilion.
The Cats will also appear on the Mountain West Network, Saturday, Dec. 12, in a non-conference game at San Diego State. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. PST in San Diego.
For the ninth consecutive season, the Pac-10 will converge on the Staples Center in Los Angeles for the Pacific Life Pac-10 Tournament, March 10-13. First round, quarterfinal and semifinal action will be shown live by Fox Sports Net, while the championship game will be televised by CBS-TV on Saturday, March 13, at 3 p.m. PST.
Three games remain tentative at this point. The broadcast information for the Jan. 14 game at Oregon State is to be announced, while the March 4 and 6 games are under consideration for broadcast as Pac-10 wildcard selections. Broadcast information for those dates will be announced 12 days prior to tip-off. The remaining information will be released as soon as it becomes available.
