California's Mina Named Pac-10 Golfer of the Month

WALNUT CREEK, CALIF.-- Eric Mina, a junior at CALIFORNIA has been named the Pac-10 Golfer of the Month for September 2009, Commissioner Larry Scott announced today.
Mina, who hails from Fremont, Calif. has produced stellar play in the Bears’ first two tournaments of the year, and is off to the best start of his career, posting a 69.9 stroke average in September.
At the Golfweek Conference Challenge, in early September, Mina finished tied for 9th(-1). He then fired a 10-under 67-67-69 to win the Spartan Golf Classic, the first time in his career that he has won an individual title.
Mina will look to continue his strong play at the California-hosted Alister MacKenzie at the Meadow Club in Fairfax, Oct. 12-13.
