TEMPE, Ariz. - Even as Paige Mittlestaedt led the ASU offense with a .364 attack percentage and two block assists, the effort didn't prove to be enough Friday night as the ASU Volleyball Team fell in a tough 25-15, 25-14 and 25-23 set to the No. 11 Oregon Ducks to drop their record to 11-6 overall and 1-4 in Pac-10 play. In the end the effort fell just shy as UO was able to take two points after a 23-23 deadlock to win the third and final set 25-23.
After the match Head Coach Jason Watson stated, 'It was a tough match for us and certainly not our best on the year. A lot of that can be put on the coaches as well though with better preparation and focus as our main focal points for tomorrow night's match and for the rest of the season. We're a better team than we showed tonight and it's the coaches responsibility to make sure that better team represents ASU for the rest of the season.'
Up next the Sun Devils continue their home stand tomorrow night as they set to host the Oregon State Beavers at 7 p.m. in Tempe at Wells Fargo Arena.
