Stanford Men Take Care of Hawai'i

STANFORD, Calif-- Senior Dwight Dumais won both diving events and freshman Aaron Wayne won the 50 and 100 freestyles as Stanford (2-0) beat Hawai'i (0-2) 159-136 in the Cardinal's first home swim meet of the season.
Dumais, the defending Pac-10 Champion in the 1-meter and a five-time All-American overall, won both the 1-meter and 3-meter events against the Warriors, scoring a career-best 427.80 on the higher platform, while tallying a 370.50 in the 1-meter event.
Wayne, a freshman out of Antioch, won the 50 freestyle with a time of 20.63, while also winning the 100-yard event with a time of 45.70. It is now two straight wins for the freshman in the 50, as he also won the event in the dual win over New Orleans last month.
Junior Austin Staab, a 13-time All-American, won the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:40.91, while also scoring the top time as a member of the 400 medley relay team, winning along with John Criste, Alex Coville and Eugene Godsoe. Criste also won the 100 breaststroke with a time of 56.48.
The Cardinal men will head to the Pacific Invitational in Stockton on October 17, before hosting their annual alumni meet on October 24 starting at 9 a.m.
