Cats Close Classic with a Pair of Wins

TUCSON -- Baillie Kirker and Lini Koria hit back-to-back home runs in the Arizona third as the Wildcats downed Pima, 6-0, on Sunday evening to close out the Arizona Fall Classic at Hillenbrand Stadium.
After the Cats had put one on the board in the first, Kirker and Koria spearheaded a three-run third for the Cats.
Kenzie Fowler pitched the complete game, allowing 2 hits while striking out 10.
UA added two more in the fifth inning to cap the scoring.
Arizona 4, Cypress 1
Arizona scored two runs in the third after falling behind by one in the top of the frame, then tacked one on in the fourth and sixth.
Ashley Ralston-Alvarez picked up the win after tossing four innings of two-hit ball and allowing an earned run. Sarah Akamine allowed a hit in two innings, and Kenzie Fowler retired the side in her inning of work.
Up Next: Arizona will play Pima on Oct. 28 at 6 p.m. to close their Fall Ball schedule.
