Stanford Finishes Second at The Prestige

LA QUINTA, Calif. - The Stanford men's golf team shot a final round team score of 288 today to finish second at The Prestige which was held on the Stadium Course at PGA West in La Quinta, Calif.
The Cardinal finished second behind tournament-winner TCU, which ran away from the field today after carding a 12-under round of 276 today for a final team score of 850.
Stanford's final team score was three strokes better than third place Washington (869) and six strokes ahead of UCLA and USC, which tied for fourth at 872.
Sophomore David Chung shot a final round 70 today to finish tied for third at 212, eight strokes behind medalist Daniel Jennevret of TCU (204; 69-67-68). Chung had three birdies on his card today en route to his best round of the young season.
Junior Sihwan Kim finished tied for eighth after a final round 75 gave him a 54-hole score of 215.
Jordan Cox finished tied for 18th at 219 on rounds of 72, 74 and 73.
Freshman Andrew Yun was impressive today, shooting a final round 71 with six birdies on his card. Yun collected birdies on one, seven, eight, 11, 12 and 18 en route to his one-under round.
Junior Steve Ziegler finished ted for 37th at 224 on rounds of 71, 79 and 74.
Also competing for the Cardinal as individuals were Graham Brockington (t-57th; 75-81-74-230), Steven Kearney (t-57th; 81-75-74-230), Andre DeDecker (t-66th; 79-77-76-232) and Wilson Bowen (78th; 84-80-80-244).
Stanford will next be in action at the Isleworth Collegiate, held Oct. 25-27 in Windermere, Fla.
