Oct. 15, 2009

Corvallis, Ore. - The Oregon State men's soccer team continues conference play when it plays host to the Washington Huskies Saturday, Oct. 17 starting at 7pm at Paul Lorenz Field.

The Beavers (5-5-2 overall, 1-3-0 Pac-10 Conference) come into the game on a two game losing streak but hope to turn things around at home. They are 4-2-0 at home this season.

Sophomore Danny Mwanga is tied for third in the Conference in goals scored (7) and is fourth in points (14). Mwanga has third game-winning goals this season and has ended the game with overtime goals against Marist College and San Diego state.

Washington (4-4-4, 1-0-3) leads the all-time 8-21-2 after the two teams split the season series last year with each team winning on the opponent's home field. The Huskies are led by Brent Richards and Ryan Moore both of whom have 4 goals on the season.
