No. 16 USC Falls At Washington State, 3-0.

PULLMAN, Washington - Meagan Ganzer led with 15 kills and a .458 night (15-4-24) as the Washington State Cougars upset the No. 16 USC Women of Troy, 3-0 (25-17, 28-26, 25-23), in a Pac-10 Conference match. Washington State snapped an eight-match losing streak to USC.
Jackie Albright had eight kills, no errors and 15 digs for Washington State (15-3, 4-3) while freshman libero Oceana Bush chipped in 15 digs and two service aces.
Sophomore outside hitter Alex Jupiter (Hermosa Beach/Redondo Union HS) led USC (13-5, 2-4) with 21 kills and nine digs while recording a career-high four service aces. Junior outside hitter Kimmee Roleder added 15 kills and hit .414 (15-3-29) while sophomore setter Kendall Bateman had 42 assists and eight digs.
The Cougars set the tone right away as WSU posted 14 kills and no errors for a .538 clip in the first set. At 22-22 in the second set, the Cougars blocked back-to-back attempts by the Trojans to lead the way for the 2-0 lead. With a 23-23 score in the third set, Ganzer and Brittany Tillman registered the back-to-back kills to close out the victory for the Cougars.

Notes: Alex Jupiter failed to record a double-double for the first time in five matches...in six Pac-10 matches this season, Jupiter is averaging over five kills per set (5.05 kps) while posting a 3.68 digs per set average...sophomore middle blocker Lauren Williams failed to record a kill in a match for the first time in her career.
