Stanford Men's Championship Four Set To Row At Head Of The Charles Regatta
Oct. 16, 2009
STANFORD, Calif. - Stanford men's rowing will be sending its championship four to the Head of the Charles Regatta this weekend, where the team has a solid record of a win and a pair of runner-up finishes already under its belt from previous meets.
In last year's regatta, the Cardinal finished second among the collegiate competition.
This year's event will be Stanford's first time on the water in the 2009-10 season.
'Fall races are wonderful training tools that will impact our entire squad,' said Stanford Director of Rowing and men's head coach Craig Amerkhanian. 'The Stanford boathouse and the Ford Center atrium have been vibrant with the women and men of Stanford Rowing working extremely hard. In Boston we are on the River Charles to compete and return with our health intact'.
