USTA Names Steve Johnson to Master'U BNP Paribas Team

USC sophomore Steve Johnson has been selected to represent the United States in the fourth annual Master'U BNP Paribas. The tournament, which will take place in Poitiers, France in December, is an intercollegiate competition in which eight countries from around the world will play for the title. The United States will compete in a best-of-seven format against teams from Belgium, China, France, Germany, Great Britain, Ireland and Mexico.

Johnson is ranked No. 18 in ITA preseason singles rankings and No. 3 in doubles with his partner Robert Farah. This year, he reached the semifinals at the 2009 D'Novo/ITA All-American Championships. During the 2008-2009 season, Johnson was named an ITA All-American in singles and doubles and was also selected to the All Pac-10 First Team.
