Cardinal-White Scrimmage Offers Men's Hoops Sneak Preview

STANFORD, Calif.- Fans can get a sneak preview of the Stanford men's basketball team on Tuesday, Oct. 27, at the Cardinal-White scrimmage.
The Cardinal-White scrimmage, which will consist of two 15-minute halves, is slated to begin at 7 p.m. in Maples Pavilion. Admission is free.
Stanford kicks off the 2009-10 campaign with an exhibition game against Sonoma State on Friday, Nov. 6.
The Cardinal opens the regular season on the road for the second straight year with a matchup at San Diego on Friday, Nov. 13. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. and the contest will be televised locally by channel 4SD.
Stanford's home opener is scheduled for Sunday, Nov. 15, against Cal Poly.
The Cardinal continues its homestand on Wednesday, Nov. 18, against Oral Roberts. That contest, along with a Nov. 21 date against Florida A&M, are part of the 2009 Cancun Challenge. Eight games of the eight-team tournament will be played in the U.S., and Stanford has been selected as one of four schools to serve as a host.
After hosting Oral Roberts and Florida A&M in its first two games of the tournament, Stanford will battle Virginia and either Cleveland State or Kentucky within the Riviera Division. The Mayan Division is made up of Florida A&M, Oral Roberts, Rider and Sam Houston State.
