No. 21 WSU Volleyball Starts Pac-10 Second Half at Desert Schools

HERE WE GO AGAIN: COUGS BEGIN PAC-10 SECOND HALF: The No. 21 Washington State volleyball team (15-4, 4-4) coming off a 3-1 win over No. 4 Washington in Pullman Oct. 23, travels to Arizona this weekend to meet Arizona State (11-10, 1-8) Friday, Oct. 30, in Tempe, and No. 18 Arizona (15-5, 4-5) Saturday, Oct. 31 in Tucson...Cougars won both matches earlier this season so the Sun Devils and Wildcats will be out for revenge...both matches begin a 7 p.m. and can be followed on the Cougar volleyball radio station (KQQQ 1150 AM in Pullman), or online via Cougar All-Access and via GameTracker online.
COUGAR COACHING STAFF: Head Coach Andrew Palileo is in his second season at WSU after a highly successful tenure at South Dakota State...Palileo has a 26-23 overall record at WSU, and a 13-year career record of 256-164...associate head coach Brian Lamppa and assistant coach TeAna Tramel complete the coaching staff...Kara Kiefer is the coordinator of operations.
AVCA TOP 25 POLL: Washington State moved up to 21st in the Oct. 26 American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Div. ABC PINK CAMPAIGN & BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MATCH: For the eighth consecutive year, the Washington State University women's volleyball team is conducting the Attacking Breast Cancer (ABC) Pink Campaign Pledge Drive to raise fund for the Breast Cancer Support Group of the Palouse, known as the Bosom Buddies...players are gathering pledges for WSU team kills landed during the home matches in the month of October...donors may pledge an amount per kill or a flat amount...the WSU volleyball team has raised $9,119.15 in the first seven years of the ABC Campaign with all the money going to the Breast Cancer Support Group of the Palouse and its educational programs...in home matches this month, WSU has tallied 239 kills with sophomore Meagan Ganzer the team leader with 70 kills...donations can still be made to the 2009 ABC Pink Campaign by contacting WSU Volleyball Assistant Coach TeAna Tramel at email@example.com, or call 509-335-0275.
